On Friday we catered to a 1300 person youth group event on the steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art. All 1300 kids did the infamous Rocky run up the steps to the event and were in awe when they arrived to the top and saw what was awaiting them; stations upon stations of food, beverages, music, and games. Tables were lined with bright and colorful linens and complimented with an assortment of different floral arrangements.
The line for our cheese steak grill grew rapidly as kids wanted to try an authentic famous Philly cheese steak. With our custom, made-to-order cheese steak grill they had their choice of beef, chicken, and vegetarian, and offered with Cheese Wiz, American cheese, provolone cheese, sautéed onions, peppers, and mushrooms- all of the works!
Our food stations included Spring Rolls, an Italian Market, Fresh Fruit, and Desserts. We offered a variety of spring rolls including beef cheese steak, chicken cheese steak, and vegetarian paired with sriracha ketchup, sweet chili ranch, and sweet onion cream. Our Italian Market station featured roast pork sandwiches with broccoli rabe and sharp provolone with a gluten free option which was wrapped in collard green leaf. The Italian market station also had authentic South Philly tomato pie. Our fresh fruit salad was served in miniature Phillies baseball helmets; it was the perfect touch for a Philly theme. For dessert, guests enjoyed Rita’s Water Ice and an assortment of Whoopie Pies including cream, peanut butter, and chocolate. Since it was such a large event we decided to be eco-friendly and use all earth friendly products including bamboo plates and biodegradable flatware and napkins.
The kids spent the rest of the night dancing to DJ Bizz and playing corn hole thanks to the Philadelphia Cornhole League. We were so happy to be a part of this well known youth group’s event and giving them a true Philadelphia experience!
