Mid-May brought us to a beautiful home in Chester County to celebrate the marriage of Honor and Daniel. The three day event included the rehearsal dinner on Friday evening, wedding on Saturday and brunch on Sunday morning.
To accommodate the 120 guests in attendance for the weekend, our client worked with EventQuip to construct a tent with a wood floor and walls on their property which allowed covered access to and from their exquisite barn.
The picturesque setting was ideal for the French country style event featuring wildflowers, burlap, blue toile and farm tables. Since the weather on Sunday morning for the brunch was sunny and warm, the tables were moved out onto the lawn.
Guests enjoyed passed hors d’oeuvres and cocktails. Including apple and brie in phyllo cup, assorted mini quiche, watermelon pomegranate shooter and prosciutto wrapped fig with goat cheese and balsamic fig syrup. Signature drinks included blueberry lemonade, cucumber lime water, sweet tea, mimosas and peach bellinis.
Honor and Daniel’s guests were treated to a fabulous brunch featuring patisserie items, waffles and made-to-order omelets. The patisserie station included fine baked goods including muffins, loaf breads and scones, fresh bagels and lox with all the accompaniments and warm apple cider donuts.
The Belgian waffle station featured freshly-made classic and whole wheat waffles. Guests also enjoyed toppings such as fresh strawberries, blueberries, sliced bananas, whipped cream and maple syrup.
J. Scott Catering chefs created made-to-order omelets at a station decorated with copper vessels holding a variety of accompaniments including crumbled bacon, sausage, flaked salmon, ham, shredded cheddar, Pepperjack and Feta cheeses, spinach, mushrooms, onions, tomatoes and bell peppers. Guests were offered the option of either fresh whole eggs or egg whites.
Despite having danced well into the early hours of the morning, ready to enjoy brunch fare and cocktails to cap off a weekend full of love and celebrations in the hills of Chester County.
