A fantastic repeat client recently contracted us to cater her 60th birthday celebration with 40 of her closest friends.  The event was a ladies-only pajama party, and it was a real show stopper.

The client gave us complete creative flexibility to implement our vision for the event.  We staffed the party with an all female cast in order to make the pajama party goers feel comfortable.

The extensive menu of 18 passed hors d’ oeuvres was highlighted by Duck Confit on puff pastry round with ligonberry salsa, Turkey Sliders with Russian Dressing, and Fennel and Coriander Crusted New Zealand Lamb Chops.  Our Sushi Chef Akio prepared a variety of rolls to order.   This is always such a treat for guests and very well received.

We love this type of event because we get to put together a very eclectic contemporary menu and have the creative freedom with décor.  The stationary buffet was truly stunning with displays of rustic Italian Antipasto, and a large variety of Artisan cheeses.  Finally, we used the token chocolate fountain with a fun display.  Our client brought in fantastic entertainment, completing the wonderful evening.

Things are really heating up here at J. Scott.  In a few weeks we host the opening event for a brand new state-of-the-art venue which we are extremely excited about.  Check back soon to learn all about that event.

Holiday Tip…
A beautiful and inexpensive Thanksgiving centerpiece can be made from different height and size glass vases filled with whole nuts.  Whether they are walnut, Brazil, hazelnut or whatever type, they can really add a nice earthy element to the table.  Once dinner is finished and your family and friends are sitting around reminiscing, break out some nut crackers and let them have at it!

Try it out…I am sure you will be pleased

Salute
