On March 8th we celebrated the wedding of Jessica and Matt at Phoenixville Foundry in Phoenixville, PA. This young vibrant couple were so excited to tie the knot and their sneak preview shots from Loor Photography captured the happiness on their big day.
The bridesmaids wore cornflower blue floor length dresses. Tables were dressed in pewter shimmer linens with ivory silk dupione napkins. The centerpieces featured spring like colors of pink, blue, white and yellow.
The couple said their vows in the Cupola ballroom in the presence of their family and friends who traveled from near and far to join in the special occasion. To highlight the guest’s travel, the couple designed a map of the United States with pins and string leading to the names and locations each guest traveled from. This fun little detail was displayed on the Mezzanine where guests mingled after the ceremony enjoying cocktails and hors d’oeuvres.
Passed hors d’oeuvre selection included spaghetti and meatballs served on a petite fork in a shot glass with marinara sauce, Ahi tuna on watermelon round with roasted fennel and arugula salad drizzled with balsamic vinaigrette, fried chicken and waffles, wild mushroom crostini topped with goat cheese crumbles and peppered honey, Asian chicken cucumber wheels, and warm brie and pear in phyllo with Cajun pecans.
After cocktail hour guests made their way downstairs to watch the entrance of Jessica, Matt and the bridal party. During their first dance the wall to the West Wing was opened and the guest tables were revealed. Guests made their way to their seats and sat down to enjoy their salads during toasts and parent dances.
The seated dinner entrée selections included roasted filet of salmon with basil crust and garlic scampi sauce as well as grilled shoulder steak served with wild mushrooms and madeira demi. Entrees were accompanied by asparagus bundles and roasted new potatoes with shallot and herb oil. Vegetarian guests enjoyed wild mushroom cannelloni with roasted garlic Fontina sauce and escarole sauté.
In place of wedding cake the couple chose cupcakes on a fun stand. Along with cupcakes they also had a server manned milk and cookies station. Cookie varieties included chocolate chip, oatmeal raisin, peanut butter, sugar and dark chocolate with white chocolate chips served alongside regular white milk, chocolate milk and strawberry milk.
Congratulations to Jessica and Matt, we wish you all the best in your new life together. Thanks to the couple, their family and friends, the J. Scott team and staff at the Foundry for a job well done.
