Sushi has, for quite some time now, been a staple on hors d’oeuvre menus at weddings and other social events. However you still don’t see it that often as a passed hors d’oeuvre. I was glad to see that at a tasting last week a bride had chosen to go with it due to her love of sushi. This couple also tried our sweet tarts, phyllo shell with dried cherry compote, melted brie and crushed pistachios. Their entrée was a beautiful tamarind flank steak accompanied by gratin dauphinoise and roasted Italian vegetables.
