This past weekend was brutal – with temperatures above one hundred and the humidity percentages not far behind, it was an all around sweltering day. The heat most certainly did not bring down the spirits of the bride and groom as they were married at the beautiful home of the bride’s parents in Villanova.

The property was the perfect location for such an affair. The ceremony was held in the beautiful courtyard, the cocktail hour by the pool and the reception in a tent in the backyard. The bride and groom chose to have a mix of circle and square tables to mix up the design of the space. The theme of the wedding was a natural, earthy feel. With sage green napkins, ivory linens and crisp, white flowers the event was classy and modern without feeling overdone.

For cocktail hour, the guests were presented with: Mini Cheese Steaks w/ Whiz & Grilled Onions, California Rolls, Thai Smoked Chicken on a Wonton Crisp, Mini Caesar Salad in Parmesan Tuile Basket, Watermelon Pomegranate Shooters and Apple & Brie Phyllo Cups.

To battle the heat, the guests were served a chilled entrée of Lime Tequila Grilled Chicken Breast with a Tomatilla Avocado Salsa, Green Beans with Red & Yellow Pepper Confetti and a Summer Salad of Steamed Red Bliss Potatoes tossed in light, red wine vinaigrette spiked with sun dried tomatoes.

We wish nothing but the best for the newlyweds – especially a cool honeymoon!
