One of our corporate clients asked us to make these for a Halloween event this week.  Here, our chefs are hard at work making the little guys by the thousands. We love it when our clients see the fun in food as much as we do!

Here is the at home recipe for this fun Halloween party treat.  Dip in ketchup since it looks like blood, for a spooky fun time!

Mummy Dogs

Ingredients

1 Pkg. Roll out pizza dough, cut into ¼ in. strips using a pizza cutter.

1 Pkg. Hot dogs, your favorite brand

Egg wash (1 eggs worth)

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 400ºF.  Grease a baking sheet using baking spray.

2. Pick one end of hot dog to be the “head” and begin wrapping the pizza dough around the hot dog in an asymmetrical mummy like style, leaving an opening for the “face”. At the end of the strip press the dough onto the wrapped dough securing the end. Repeat for the rest of the hot dogs.

3. Brush with egg wash and place on baking sheet about 2 inches apart.  Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.  Allow time to cool slightly before serving.
