On Wednesday, we held a tasting at the shop for a lovely couple set to get married in June. It was just the two of them here so we really wanted to make the experience special for them. Using some of the decor we have on hand I created for them a coral and green color scheme with smooth stones and Swarovski crystals on the center runner. The meal included a variety of passed hors d’oeuvres including ruby port caramelized pear with chevre on baguette rounds. For an entree they had a choice between mesquite grilled pork loin with mango, papaya and avocado relish and baked black sea bass with walnut bread crumb topping and lemon walnut oil. Both were accompanied by potatoes au gratin and green beans with almond and brown butter. They wrapped up the tasting with cake samples from Clays bakery. Another enjoyable evening with a happy couple on their way to wedded bliss.
