It is important to note that we as omnivores eat first with out eyes and then with our tastebuds.  Whether it’s a juicy steak or haricot vert, color plays a large part in the appeal of a dish.  Color in your food is necessary to liven up everyday dishes like pasta and chicken.  Next time you make a monochromatic meal, try and spice it up with the addition of red pepper, add a touch of saffron to rice or blanch then sauté green veggies to get that extra vivid green.  These little changes can turn boring meals into culinary masterpieces.
