In 1967 at only 21 years of age, Georges Perrier came to the United States from his native France.  In 1970 he opened Le Bec Fin in Philadelphia, PA, effectively putting the city on the culinary map.  His focus and dedication to classic French cuisine earned the restaurant the credit of best restaurant in America in the 90’s.  Since then the establishment went through many changes and though chef Perrier sold Le Bec earlier this year, his contributions to the city will never be forgotten.

When Genevieve Perrier, Georges’ only daughter, and her fiancé Dave Johnson came to J. Scott Catering via their planner Patricia Nino from J. Scott Catering at the National Musuem of American Jewish History J. Scott Catering at the National Museum of American Jewish History

The wedding took place at the National Museum of American Jewish History.  The venue was recently opened to additional caterers including J. Scott Catering and is sure to be a wonderful addition to our venue list.  The event space, located on the 5th floor, offers clients and guests an unobstructed view of the center city skyline as well as a bird’s eye view of Independence Mall.  This time of year is especially perfect as all the trees change color and provide a unique color palette for the landscape around the venue.

The color scheme for the wedding, pale sage green and beige played off the bold colors in the arrangements created by Magnifique Décor.  They incorporated burgundy, peach and royal purple as well as natural elements such as small berries and foliage in moss covered wood boxes.  The tall vases featured long branches with hanging votives and long stemmed kale.
