Corporate clients will often capitalize on a Saturday afternoon as an opportune time to offer guests a little something extra during their shopping experience.  Our client wished to serve a number of passed hors d’oeuvres throughout the afternoon to the shoppers perusing the goods throughout the store.  It is a nice touch of hospitality and a great way to bring window shoppers onto the floor.

For this event, the client wanted to showcase items that were reminiscent of a classic tea.  Passed hors d’oeuvres included miniature cheese and ham toasties, cucumber watercress tea sandwiches, and smoked salmon tea sandwiches; this quite popular selection featured smoke salmon with cream cheese on fresh baked rye bread.

Passed dessert hors d’oeuvres also offered guests with a sweet tooth the perfect treat while shopping.  The client offered their shoppers mini chocolate éclairs and lemon tarts.

Beverages were also passed throughout the store; English tea, Perrier served with citrus wheel and an Elderflower refresher; this spritzer of sorts was made by combining Elderflower syrup with ginger ale then poured over ice and served with a sprig of mint.  The client also offered shoppers champagne if they wished for a bubbly of another sort.

The event was a wonderful success.  Shoppers wound through the store all afternoon enjoying refreshments and items available for purchase.  Despite the beautiful weather outside, it is just hard to turn down an afternoon of shopping.
