Décor:
Pink is back! Not bright, hot pinks, but nudes, blushes, and peaches are becoming extremely popular in 2014 weddings. Another popular wedding color trend is cream and ivory; very natural, elegant, and bright. As for prints, chevron continues to be popular, but we are also seeing more trellis, floral and bold stripes. Peonies seem to be the beloved flower this season. They are lush and go with the trendy blush colors. Also, add some personalization to your special day! Some ideas for adding a personal touch: using your monogram, having a display of your photos throughout your years together, naming tables after the places the two of you have traveled together, and incorporating your beloved pet is, of course, a must to most couples!

Food:

One-bite hor d’oeuvres and pairings are what guests love to have during cocktail hour. Two great options to serve are mini lobster tacos paired with Patron and mini burgers paired with beer. The late night snack is a long lasting trend which will start to become a staple at all weddings. Cheese steak grills, ice cream sundae and milkshake bars are late night snack options offered by J. Scott Catering and are always a hit.

As for favors, try something that is edible. Macaroons are becoming more and more popular. For example, if you choose to go with the trendy blush wedding color, you may want to give your guests a light pink macaroon elegantly wrapped as their favor. They are chic and tasty at the same time!

Fashion:
Conservative bridal gowns are making a comeback. For warmer weather, cap sleeves are one of the most desirable gown styles. For a winter wedding, brides have begun to choose lace long sleeved gowns. These classic styles will be timeless in wedding photos.

Why should the groom dress the same as the groomsmen when the bride doesn’t dress the same as her bridesmaids? Make your groom feel special by having him wear a colored tie while his groomsmen wear black or possibly a different tux style. For the bridesmaids try a mismatched style such as wearing the same color and material, but different style of dress- one shoulder, strapless, halter. This allows your bridesmaids to choose a flattering style while still looking coordinated.

We hope you are able to use these trends to assist in the planning of your upcoming wedding!
