We’re sure we weren’t the only ones who suffered from the severe storm that blew through the area recently. Power outages, downed trees and wires were just the tip of the iceberg that many locals faced. Luckily, we didn’t have any serious damage to our shop, but we did lose power to all our major appliances, which in the catering world, is beyond crippling.

Our two walk-in refrigerators, hood ventilation system and our walk-in freezer were all without electricity, and with ten events requiring food preparation between Friday and Sunday, we needed a solution.

Thursday evening required all hands on deck to load all our refrigerated trucks with all the food from our walk-ins. This was no easy feat, but it was necessary to make it through.

First thing Friday morning we received a delivery of major proportion – a tow truck pulling a huge generator to power all our electrical needs. This generator has enough juice to power half of Malvern!

With our electric back in place, it was time to make sure that our customers didn’t suffer from the slight set-back. We worked hard to make up for lost time and all ten events were successful and prompt. We strive to take bumps in the road in stride, and while some of the clients for the weekend didn’t have power themselves, they did have the service and product they expected.
