A Friday evening in mid-January served as the perfect backdrop for a corporate holiday celebration held at Phoenixville Foundry.  As we break this fun filled event down into bite sized pieces, it will showcase the many moving parts that go into the planning and execution of an event for 500.  Check out the feature video showing the highlights from the evening!  Part 2 of the event in review highlights the delights of the soup station and the slider station.

With so many guests in attendance, multiples of each station existed to ensure that every guest was served efficiently and effectively.  In the West Wing of the Phoenixville Foundry was one soup station, and the other was in the Cupola Ballroom.  Three slider stations serviced the crowd with one in the West Wing, one double sided slider bar in between the West Wing and Cupola Ballrooms, and another single slider bar in the Cupola Ballroom.

Both soup stations offered a variety of three soups to tempt the guests.  Smoked tomato and eggplant soup was paired with miniature grilled cheese triangles.  Roasted corn and potato bisque served with toasted brioche.  Finally, crab bisque served with toasted pita chips rounded out the soup varieties that were served in clear glass mugs.

The slider bar offered guests another trio of taste tempting treats.  To start, all beef sliders on brioche with cheddar cheese were served with ketchup, blue cheese dressing and Russian dressing for a make-your-own twist.  Portobello sliders on brioche with grilled Portobello round, provolone cheese, roasted red pepper, caramelized onions and pesto mayonnaise offered guests a delicious vegetarian option.  Lastly, a crab cake slider with lettuce, tomato and Remoulade on brioche was certainly the crowd favorite at this station that came with rave reviews.  And what slider bar would be complete without fresh fried French fries?  This slider bar came complete with both sweet potato and Yukon gold fries served with a variety of dipping sauces including ketchup, honey mustard, Hoisin sauce, BBQ sauce, pesto mayonnaise and curry mayonnaise.
