It was such a joy to see Sarah and Kevin say their “I Do’s” and celebrate at the Phoenixville Foundry this weekend! The couple chose a black and white theme which made for an amazing ambience. The white crinkle linens with black napkins, silver beaded chargers, and black stem glassware were jaw-droppingly beautiful complimented by the high floral arrangements done by Sommerfield Design. The décor had everyone in awe. The couple wanted to incorporate their loved ones into their big day, so we displayed pictures of both the bride and groom’s family members on their own wedding days in our beautiful book shelves decorated with small flower arrangements and tea light candles.

During cocktail hour on the mezzanine, guests enjoyed hor d’oeuvres and sipped on the signature blueberry mojito drink. Our staff passed a selection of hor d’oeuvres including Moroccan beef skewers, Vietnamese chicken spring rolls, macaroni and cheese tartlet, crab and mango salad, herbed shrimp cocktail, and roasted apple and blue cheese on brioche. Guests also enjoyed stationary hor d’oeuvres of classic antipasto and a sushi bar. After cocktail hour, guests made their way into the ballroom for dinner and dancing. The first course was a baby arugula salad with strawberries, figs, almond crusted shellbark hollow, farm goat cheese, shaved fennel, roasted shallot, champagne in strawberry vinaigrette. Entrees included guests’ choice of pan seared filet of beef in a garlic and rosemary merlot demi-glace, citrus soy glazed salmon, garlic crusted ranch chicken breast in artichoke, rosemary, and tomato oil, and a penne pasta in a olive oil and garlic sauce.

Once dinner was over the party started! Guests danced all night long to Silver Sound DJ and had so much fun taking pictures with the Tapsnap photo booth. The bride and groom sure did keep their guests entertained!

For desert we featured a make your own sundae bar along with a beautiful and delicious cake from Clay’s Bakery. Guests’ had their choice of strawberry, vanilla, and chocolate ice cream for the sundae bar. Toppings included wet walnut sprinkles, heath bar crunch, M&M’s, coconut, chocolate and butterscotch syrups, whipped cream, and fresh strawberries. The sundae bar wasn’t the only fun food station of the evening; the couple surprised their guests with a late night snack from our made-to-order cheese steak grill!

As the night came to an end, guests said their goodbyes and made sure to grab their mini wine bottle favors.
