We love working with all of our brides, especially those who have a special place in their heart for the “Main Line”, where we call home.  In the recent issue of Delaware/Main Line Bride there was a beautifully written piece about a wedding we were thrilled to be a part of.  Titled The Wedding of Her Dreams, author Tara Behan writes about Michele and Jon’s big day.

Michele was baptized at St. Thomas of Villanova and grew up going to basketball games at Villanova University.  With such fond childhood memories, she always knew that is where she wanted to be married.  After both Jon and Michele graduated from Boston College, Jon proposed and with an enthusiastic “Yes!” from Michele the planning began.  To fulfill her dream of getting married at St. Thomas of Villanova, the couple decided to have a summer wedding and picked a date of June 28, 2014.

After deciding on the ceremony location, the next step was to pick a location for the reception.  One of Michele’s relatives is a member of Radnor Hunt and after seeing the location the couple knew it was the perfect fit because of its classic look and modern influences.

Radnor Hunt is a favorite venue for J Scott Catering!  As the caterer for Radnor Hunt, J Scott Catering was happy to help Michele and Jon plan the perfect menu for their big day.  Wishing for a non-traditional reception menu J. Scott Catering created options such as braised short ribs and summer vegetable risotto.  As no wedding is complete without cake, our friends at Clays Bakery created a beautiful three-tier cake with gray bows wrapped around each tier, which coordinated perfectly with the bridesmaids dresses.  With a picturesque sunny summer day and every detail completed, Michele’s comment, “There is nothing I would have changed. It truly was my dream wedding” made all of us at J Scott Catering glad we were able to help make Michele’s dream a reality.

We are happy we were able to be a part of Michele and Jon’s day to make it a day they will never forget.
